The fashionistas of the late 16th century often had their laundresses add tints to the starch for their ruffs, producing pale colored ruffs that were made to echo the dominant color of their ensemble.
Polyester shell, horsehair braid, and rayon/cotton
lace. Neck band made with 100% linen shell and cotton
canvas interior. Cotton ties. Ruff width is 2.5".
